BT20 titanium alloy, also renowned as TA15 in China, is commonly used in aerospace engine, nuclear structure and other industry in China and Russia. The nominal chemistry of BT20 with alpha and beta phase is comprised of Ti-6.5Al-1Mo-1V-2Zr (weight percentage), which has excellent elevated-temperature and room-temperature mechanical properties.
Ti1023 is a TIMET developed, high-strength, deep hardenable forging alloy (a near beta alloy), which is widely used in airframes and engines. The excellent strength-toughness of Ti1023 makes it could be applied to near-net shape forging techniques. Current applications for Ti1023 encompass numerous aircraft structural parts, including landing gear components.
Ti6242 owes outstanding properties, a combination of tensile strength, creep strength, toughness and high-temperature stability for long-term application at temperature up to 530℃. The primary application is gas turbine compressor components, such as blades, discs and impellers.
With respect to Ti6Al7Nb, it is an ideal substitute for Ti6Al4V in medical application on the account of the merit of non-Vanadium characteristic.
